Job description
The Software Engineer, Platform is responsible for developing and maintaining backend services that support critical functions such as payments, subscriptions, analytics, text-to-speech processing, and external integrations. This role involves strategic thinking and collaboration with cross-functional teams to create scalable, high-performance APIs that enhance user experience. The position is pivotal in shaping backend architecture and delivering solutions that meet business and technical needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public text-to-speech and internal APIs for payment, subscription, authentication, and consumption tracking

Manage the backend API ecosystem, focusing on performance and maintainability improvements

Collaborate on business-to-business solutions targeting customization and integration for enterprise clients

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure backend architecture aligns with product strategy and user experience goals
Requirements

Proven backend development experience with TypeScript and Node.js

Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers

Ability to prioritize and implement tasks efficiently based on urgency and impact

Preferred experience with Docker and containerized deployments

Preferred proficiency in deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes
Benefits & conditions
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- The United States Based Salary range for this role is 140,000-200,000 USD per year, plus bonus and stock options depending on experience
