Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Irvine, CA, USA

The Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition role focuses on managing and expanding data collection pipelines that support AI model training. This position is critical for building high-quality, large-scale datasets by integrating infrastructure, engineering, and research efforts. The role contributes by identifying new audio data sources, maintaining cloud infrastructure, and collaborating across AI teams to optimize data quality, scale, and cost for next-generation products.

3. Responsibilities:

• Identify and integrate new audio data sources into the ingestion pipeline

• Operate and enhance the cloud infrastructure for data ingestion using GCP and Terraform

• Work closely with scientists to improve data quality, scale, and cost efficiency

• Collaborate with AI team members and leadership to develop the dataset roadmap for future products

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience

• Proficiency with bash and Python scripting in Linux environments

• Experience with Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code, and at least one major cloud platform (GCP preferred)

• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The United States base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$200,000 plus bonus and equity, depending on experience
