Job description
The Equipment Specialist will provide provisioning, supply, and logistics data support to the IBCTPL ENG-SES2 Section in accordance with applicable USCG SFLC provisioning guidance, including CGTO PG-85-00-680 Series and CGTO PG-85-00-1030 Series. This role requires initiative, sound judgment, and originality in researching supply data, validating parts information, developing provisioning documentation, and recommending solutions that support cutter sustainment and fleet readiness. DUTIES
- Support provisioning and supply activities in accordance with USCG SFLC provisioning process guides and desk guides.
- Validate Allowance Parts List (APL) data associated with Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs), Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), and Engineering Changes (ECs).
- Review and verify parts and supply data in FLS, WEBFLIS, CG-PART, SMDP-PSCP, NESSS, and other applicable systems.
- Build allowance documents to support parts carried aboard cutters.
- Conduct market research and gather technical, supply, and logistics data to develop and route Item Entry Proposals (IEPs).
- Apply knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Level of Maintenance Analysis (LOMA), and Readiness Based Sparing (RBS).
- Support provisioning decisions consistent with Coast Guard sustainment principles, including Configuration Management, Total Asset Visibility, Bi-Level Maintenance, and Product Line Management.
- Assist with small purchase support and apply familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements related to ship repair contracts and purchases.
- Identify supply data discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and support provisioning deliverables, reports, and performance metrics.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Research data analysis?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in provisioning, supply support, logistics, maintenance planning, configuration management, technical data management, or federal/military sustainment programs.
- Experience researching, validating, and analyzing parts, supply, maintenance, or logistics data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using logistics, supply, maintenance, or asset management systems.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or GED.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or technical certification in logistics, supply chain management, engineering technology, maintenance management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience supporting USCG, Navy, DoW, or federal logistics/supply programs.
- Familiarity with FLS, WEBFLIS, CG-PART, SMDP-PSCP, NESSS, MPCs, APLs, TCTOs, ECs, IEPs, and allowance documentation.
- Working knowledge of RCM, LORA, LOMA, RBS, FAR, ship repair contracts, small purchases, and Coast Guard sustainment concepts.
