Job description
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department and shape our technological future. In this senior leadership role, you will work with the VP of IT Operations and Security to architect our technology strategy, ensuring our infrastructure is secure, scalable, and perfectly aligned with our business growth objectives. You will lead a high-performing team of technical professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence., You'll work with our experienced leadership and technical teams to help keep business strategy and technical execution aligned and moving forward.
· Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a multi-year IT roadmap that supports digital transformation and operational efficiency.
· Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage IT staff and external vendors, providing direction on daily operations and career development.
· Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee the design and maintenance of all networks, servers, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and hardware systems to ensure high availability.
· Cybersecurity & Compliance: Establish robust security protocols, manage disaster recovery plans, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and data privacy laws.
· Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the annual IT budget, negotiating with vendors to optimize costs and maximize ROI on technology investments.
· Executive Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to identify technology needs and translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Virtualization?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, This is a senior role requiring extensive experience and knowledge:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of network, virtualization, operating systems, application and data architecture, enterprise software (ERP/CRM), and cloud computing.
- Project Management: Proven ability to lead complex, enterprise-wide technology projects from conception to completion.
- Certifications: Professional credentials such as CISSP, or ITIL are highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Social Skills: Must act in a respectful, knowledgeable, and professional manner. Work requires regular interaction involving exchange and receipt of complex information; adjusting actions in relation to others' actions; trying to reconcile differences; actively looking for ways to help people and Global Water be successful. Will interact with employees at all levels and represent Global Water externally.
Physical Demands: Must be able to perform the following on a regular basis: Sitting for extended periods; prolonged periods of time with repetitive motions of hands and fingers; close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty pounds. Work is performed in an office and outdoors where the employee may be exposed to noise from construction sites, heavy equipment and inclement weather.
