Job description

You will work in constant collaboration with our local Engineering teams and the Global DevOps unit, ensuring that our platform's stability and scalability remain world-class while we iterate on our deployment velocity.

  • Automate tasks such as application configuration and deployment.
  • Contribute to the technical decision-making process to define the platform strategy.
  • Build and maintain monitoring and alerting platforms.
  • Apply DevOps methodologies with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Engage in upcoming projects' infrastructure to ensure scalability and fault tolerance.
  • Maintain high availability during traffic spikes, disasters, and malicious attacks.
  • Work closely with the software development team to ensure systems are monitored 24x7.
  • Review and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the platform, optimizing infrastructure, processes, and system and product performance.
  • Collaborate with different Business Units across Affle Group to improve methodologies, processes, and technical best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong Linux knowledge and troubleshooting skills in production environments.
  • Solid experience working with Cloud platforms, especially AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.
  • Experience with infrastructure and configuration as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience managing and scaling CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Scripting experience with Bash for automation and operational tasks.
  • Experience managing high-volume and highly available services.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, monitoring systems, and database administration.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Nomad.
  • Availability to participate in on-call rotations to support production environments and after-hours incidents.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively with global teams.

Desirable requirements

  • Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript/Node.js or Python.
  • Knowledge of low-latency systems and distributed architectures (AdTech RTB, Trading platforms, etc.).
  • Understanding of security, privacy, and compliance best practices for Operating Systems and Cloud Services., * Analytical, curious, goal-oriented
  • Strong orientation to detail, with an ability to collect and organize data, understand the results, and communicate them effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to motivate others to work as a team to meet the business case and customer goal
  • Being proactive
  • Ability to take personal initiative and prioritize workload whilst being a team player within a collaborative environment
