Requirements

We welcome applications from highly motivated individuals who would like to make a difference and become part of the Cancer Services team., The successful post holder will be a highly motivated team player ideally with previous administration experience within a busy and demanding environment. Excellent computer literacy is essential for the role. You will be highly organised, self motivated, have a flexible approach to work and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The post holder will liaise with a range of service mangers, Health Professionals and their teams to gather data and ensure patients pathways are tracked and progressed appropriately utilising the relevant patient management systems. The post holder will assist the Cancer Services Team in the generation of reports, perform administrative duties and provide general administrative support to Cancer Services as required. This is an established team within Cardiff & Vale University Health Board and the successful candidates will need to be highly motivated, have a flexible approach to work and possess good organisational skills, plus be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply., * Educated to GCSE level

  • Previous experience of working in an administrative/information related role
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office software programmes including Excel, Powerpoint and/or Access

  • Experience of using clinical research databases

  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of professionals at different levels with varying IT and information skills
  • Computer literate especially in MS Office applictaions, email and Internet
