Job description
Our client, a leading global organisation, is looking for an experienced Test Architect to lead the definition and governance of enterprise-wide testing strategy, architecture, and quality engineering standards across large-scale transformation programmes. As the Test Architect, you will be responsible for shaping end-to-end testing strategy across complex enterprise environments, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Requirements
Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and own the end-to-end test architecture, including frameworks, environments, tooling, and test data strategyEstablish enterprise-wide testing standards, governance, and best practicesDesign and implement automation frameworks across UI, API, mobile, performance, and security testingEvaluate and recommend testing tools and technologies; lead modernisation initiatives and PoCsIntegrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflowsDefine approaches for non-functional testing, including performance, resilience, accessibility, and securityProvide technical leadership and mentoring to QA teams and test engineersCollaborate with developers, solution architects, DevOps teams, and stakeholders to drive quality by designReview test metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to support continuous improvementEnsure testing practices align with regulatory, security, and audit requirements where applicableRequired Skills & Experience10+ years' experience in software testing / quality engineering3-5 years in a Test Architect or Test Lead capacityStrong expertise with automation frameworks such as:SeleniumPlaywrightCypressREST AssuredExperience testing APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applicationsStrong understanding of Agile, Scrum, SDLC, DevOps, and CI/CD practicesHands-on experience with performance testing tools such as:Apache JMeterGatlingProgramming/scripting experience in Java, Python, or JavaScriptExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google CloudKnowledge of containerisation technologies including Docker and KubernetesExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skillsNice to HaveExperience with AI-driven testing tools and test analyticsDomain experience in Banking, Insurance, Utilities, Telecoms, or HealthcareCertifications such as ISTQB Advanced/Test Architect, SAFe, or cloud certifications Please apply with your CV and we'll be in touch.
