Job title: DV Cleared 4th Line Cloud Engineer Location: Basingstoke 5 days onsite Duration: 6 months Rate: Up to £575 per day via an approved umbrella company Must be willing and eligible to go through the DV Clearance process
Our client, a leader in innovative technology solutions, is hiring for a talented 4th Line Cloud Engineer to join a dedicated team supporting high-profile users on the project. What you'll be doing: . Responding to complex escalations from 3rd Line engineers and assisting in problem management investigations . Managing VMware products and associated monitoring tools such as vCenter, ESXi, SDDC Manager, and Solarwinds . Automating manual tasks to improve efficiency and minimise downtime . Identifying single points of failure and designing resilient solutions . Managing obsolescence for applications and operating systems . Collaborating with stakeholders and the management team to ensure seamless service delivery
What you'll bring: . Extensive cloud administration experience with tools like Broadcom SDDC Manager, vCenter, ESXi . Experience with event management tools such as SCOM or Solarwinds . Cloud capacity management skills, eg, Aria Ops . Strong understanding of Active Directory Domain Services (Windows 2019 or newer, DNS) . Virtual networking experience in cloud environments and multi-tenant management . Proven ability to handle high-profile escalations and provide technical leadership . DV clearance and UK sole nationality required
Additional skills: . Knowledge of ITSM tools and processes . Familiarity with VMware vCenter (usage, not administration) . Adaptability to change and shifting priorities . Understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies
