Job description

The firm is looking to hire a MDM Architect & Data Modeler to join their team building this greenfield data lake responsible designing and implementing the enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) architecture. The MDM Architect's primary responsibility will be to ensure the architecture has a seamless integration with the Lakehouse platform, APIs, and workflows. Build canonical models for master entities, define hierarchies, relationships, and attributes, and manage the MDM tool for optimal performance and compliance with enterprise standards., MDM Architecture Design

-Develop scalable MDM architecture integrated with Lakehouse and enterprise systems.

-Define API strategies and workflow orchestration for data mastering processes.

-Knowledge of Lakehouse architectures and integration patterns.

Data Modeling

-Create canonical models for master entities (e.g., customer, product, supplier).

-Define hierarchies, attributes, and relationships for MDM domains.

Tool Management

-Configure, upgrade, and optimize MDM tools (Ataccama or Informatica).

-Monitor performance and ensure high availability and compliance.

Governance & Standards

-Align MDM architecture with enterprise security, compliance, and governance policies.

-Implement data quality and stewardship processes.

Collaboration

-Work closely with Data Architects (e.g., Silver Data Vault layer) and engineering teams to ensure consistency across data platforms.

Requirements

3-5+ years in Data Modeling or MDM Architecture

  • hands-on experience with Data Vault

  • experience in data modeling for MDM and enterprise data platforms in the cloud

  • hands-on MDM tool experience with Ataccama (preferred) or Informatica

  • Knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling, hierarchy design, and attribute management

  • Understanding of data governance principles and metadata management.

-ETL/ELT and Integration experience: Knowledge of ingestion tools like Qlik Replicate and Fivetran; and transformation frameworks such as dbt and Apache Spark. - law firm background

  • Knowledge of API design, workflow automation, and performance tuning.

  • Familiarity with Collibra and Unity Catalog for governance and metadata management

-Strong grasp of identity and access management (e.g., Entra ID)

Benefits & conditions

$60/hr to $73/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
