Job description
Relate Search has partnered with a global manufacturer to recruit a Data Analyst to join their organization. This role will focus on supporting a critical finance data transformation initiative, working at the intersection of accounting, finance, and data analytics.
Reporting into the Controller, the Data Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with finance and accounting teams to extract, transform, and automate financial data processes between ERP systems and reporting platforms. This individual will play a key role in improving efficiency, reducing manual effort, and ensuring data accuracy within financial reporting workflows.
Responsibilities
- Extract and manipulate financial data from ERP systems.
- Develop and enhance Excel-based tools, including advanced formulas and macros.
- Build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to improve efficiency.
- Map financial data across multiple profit areas with complex relationships to the general ledger.
- Automate manual workflows to reduce errors and improve reporting timelines.
- Test, refine, and document processes to ensure scalability and long-term usability.
- Train internal teams on newly developed tools and processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros and complex data manipulation.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Understanding of financial statements, including P&L and balance sheet relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large datasets.
- Experience with Tagetik (highly preferred).
