Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in New York, New York to build low-latency real-time risk systems and solutions around big data and distributed computing. Work with broad exposure to various hedge fund strategies, complex data analytics, and quantitative problems across asset classes. Work on strategic initiatives to renovate and scale client offering for Client Margin. Build next generation Risk and Margins platform. Focus on scale, performance, and direct client impact. Responsible for direct business approval coordination and development strategy. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Requirements
Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
-Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Software Engineer, Application Developer, Technical Team Lead, or a closely related occupation.
-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:
- programing languages including Java, C++, SQL, and Python;
- Matplotlib;
- Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch;
- JDBC Template;
- Hibernate;
- XML;
- JSON;
- Git;
- Linux;
- Intellij;
- platforms including Splunk, Bitbucket, Kafka, and GitHub;
- Junit;
- Rest API;
- SOAP webservices;
- Log4j;
- Maven;

- Concurrency in programing;
- Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins;

Benefits & conditions
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $174,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
