Job description

Randstad is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Technician to oversee quality assurance activities at a tire assembly manufacturer in Pewaukee, WI. This role provides hands-on quality support while leading and mentoring quality technicians, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of quality assurance experience in manufacturing along with proven leadership capability.

salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year shift: First work hours: 7:30 AM - 4 PM education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Leading daily inspection activities for tire assembly operations and providing mentorship to the quality team.

  • Serving as the primary quality contact for production and engineering departments.

  • Overseeing in-process, final, and incoming inspections while reviewing results to identify trends.

  • Leading root cause analysis and corrective action (CAPA) efforts.

  • Ensuring compliance with ISO/IATF quality management systems and supporting various audits.

  • Assisting with PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and SPC implementation to drive continuous improvement.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs

  • standing for 7 hours at one time Skills
