Job description
We're looking for a hands-on IT Operations & Systems Manager working in our Mission Viejo, CA office who thrives in the details and is energized by building something that matters - across both the technical infrastructure and the business intelligence that drives commercial decisions at BENEV.
This is a doing role, not a directing role. You will personally keep BENEV's systems, infrastructure, and end-users running smoothly while simultaneously partnering with Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations to build the dashboards, reports, and data pipelines that keep the business sharp. You don't just hand off a request to a BI team - you build it, validate the data, and own the output.
This is also a role with a clear future. As BENEV grows, so does this function. High performers who demonstrate both technical excellence and cross-functional business acumen are positioned to grow into a broader IT leadership role with strategic scope, team responsibility, and a seat at the table as we scale.
What You'll Do IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Own day-to-day IT operations - monitor systems, resolve issues, manage user accounts, support onboarding/offboarding, and keep the environment running smoothly across hardware, software, cloud, and networking
- Personally manage systems infrastructure - hands-on configuration, maintenance, patching, and performance monitoring of on-premise and cloud-based servers, storage, and network equipment
- Administer enterprise systems - Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, HubSpot, Domo, QuickBooks, ERP, QMS, and related platforms; build and maintain integrations between systems
- Execute cybersecurity and compliance controls - endpoint security, identity and access management, MFA, backups, disaster recovery, and audit readiness; support GxP compliance and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements
- Be the go-to for end-users - provide responsive, high-quality Tier 2/3 support for all BENEV employees; establish and meet SLAs and service KPIs
- Leverage AI to work smarter - use AI-powered tools for incident triage, systems monitoring, and automation of repetitive IT tasks in collaboration with our AI & Intelligent Automation team
Data, Analytics & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports - partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to design and deliver actionable analytics in Domo, HubSpot, and connected platforms that support real business decisions
- Own data accuracy across systems - ensure data flows correctly between CRM, ERP, marketing, and finance platforms; proactively identify discrepancies and trace them to the source
- Troubleshoot and fix data issues - when reports don't look right, you investigate the pipeline, identify where data is breaking down, and resolve it at the root - not just the symptom
- Partner with Sales Operations - support territory reporting, pipeline analytics, rep performance dashboards, and commercial data requests with both technical precision and business context
- Manage system integrations - configure, maintain, and troubleshoot connections between HubSpot, Domo, and other platforms; ensure data fidelity across the full technology stack
- Support data governance - establish and enforce data standards, field mapping, and naming conventions across systems to ensure reporting is consistent and trustworthy
Financial & Strategic Responsibilities
- Track IT spend and manage vendor contracts - negotiate renewals, evaluate tools, and partner with Finance to keep costs lean as we scale
- Grow into leadership - contribute to the IT roadmap, lead projects end to end, and mentor team members as the function expands
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field - or equivalent hands-on experience
-
5-8 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a hybrid technical role - with a consistent record of personally doing the work
-
Proven, hands-on proficiency with Windows/Mac, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and networking fundamentals - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs
-
Demonstrated experience building dashboards and reports in Domo, HubSpot, or a comparable BI/CRM platform
-
Strong data troubleshooting skills - ability to trace inaccurate data to its source across integrated systems, identify the break, and fix it
-
Hands-on experience with CRM administration and data pipeline management - you understand how data moves between systems and how to ensure it arrives correctly
-
Experience with cybersecurity principles - endpoint protection, access controls, patch management, and backup/DR
-
Strong communication skills and a genuine cross-functional mindset - you can translate technical data issues into plain language for non-technical stakeholders in Sales and Finance
-
Financial awareness - comfortable tracking IT spend, evaluating vendors, and contributing to budget conversations
-
Must be able to work primarily on-site in our Mission Viejo, CA office
Benefits & conditions
- Medical, Dental & Vision - Employee-only coverage paid for by the company
- 401(k) - 3% company match
- Vacation, Holiday & Sick Time
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
