Grade Level (for internal use), * Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions to support multi-asset index calculations and analytics

Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines for processing large volumes of financial market data across various asset classes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance client experience and business outcomes

Optimize data workflows and infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and accuracy of index data processing

Support the development of innovative data products and analytics capabilities for SPDJI's expanding multi-asset business

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field

3+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related technical roles

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and pipeline development

Experience with big data technologies and frameworks (such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka)

Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases (such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra)

Experience with cloud platforms and services (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with financial markets data, index calculations, or investment analytics

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift)

Familiarity with data streaming and real-time processing frameworks (such as Apache Kafka, Apache Storm, or Apache Flink)

Experience with infrastructure as code tools and DevOps practices (such as Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins)
Benefits & conditions
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $142,000 to $215,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
