Job description

Location: Charlotte, NC Salary: $53.00 USD Hourly - $57.00 USD Hourly Description: Information Security Engineer (Privileged Access Management - CyberArk) About the Role As an Information Security Engineer focused on Privileged Access Management (PAM), you will contribute to moderately complex security initiatives and large-scale planning efforts within Information Security Engineering. You will analyze and resolve complex security challenges, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and help ensure the secure management of credentials and privileged access across enterprise environments. This role requires deep expertise in CyberArk PAM technologies, credential management, automation, and Windows-based environments, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities Participate in and consult on moderately complex Information Security Engineering initiatives and deliverables. Contribute to large-scale planning and execution of PAM and credential management solutions. Review, analyze, and resolve complex security challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable risk and technical factors. Design, configure, and maintain CyberArk PAM components including Vault, DR, CPM, PSM, PVWA, CP, CCP, and SIA. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, application teams, and security partners to meet Information Security deliverables. Implement and manage credential and secrets management solutions in enterprise, cloud, and DevOps environments. Automate security workflows using scripting and programming languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Shell). Integrate CyberArk with identity platforms such as SailPoint. Document technical configurations, processes, and operational procedures. Ensure adherence to information security policies, standards, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent practical experience gained through work, consulting, military service, or education. 7+ years of experience administering large, complex CyberArk PAM environments. In-depth knowledge of CyberArk PAS and related components (Vault, CPM, PSM, PVWA, CP, CCP, SIA). 5+ years of experience in credential management and administration of credential management systems. 7+ years of Windows operating system administration experience. 5+ years of experience automating workflows using PowerShell, Python, Shell, or similar languages. Experience working with enterprise directories (Active Directory, LDAP). Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL). Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of credential or secrets management experience in cloud and/or DevOps environments. Experience integrating CyberArk with SailPoint or similar identity governance platforms. Experience using Jira and Confluence for workflow tracking and technical documentation. CyberArk certifications (e.g., Defender, Sentry, or PAM-related certifications). Advanced understanding of information security best practices, controls, and compliance requirements.
