Job description

Handles complex issues and problems. Applies comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of area of specialty. Leads moderately complex projects and programs., * Provide data mining, cleaning, and data analysis using database programming/mining tools.

  • Manage and oversees the complex coding and processes which execute business decisions/activities.
  • Partner with business leaders to perform data research leading to new strategies and processes to assist with the advancement of strategic decisions.
  • Design the monitoring and control mechanisms to business processes to ensure we maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain stored procedure documentation along with change management and testing documentation as required.
  • Investigate data to discover trends and patterns that can be used to extract valuable business insights
  • Manage multiple projects in addition to day to day process tasks management on medium to high value items.
  • Reviewing and improving data mining and transformation processes, methods, and tools
  • Build and maintain visualization dashboards for showing activity performance as it relates to strategy processes being maintained by the department.
  • Partners with compliance and IT to ensure data quality and process rules are being managed correctly.
  • Subject Matter Expert for the process, data, and overall execution of at least one product/channel area. Is the SME for the data used to monitor the performance, rules, and integrity of the channel's strategy execution.

Requirements

  • Ability to write and troubleshoot stored procedures in MS Sql server (TSQL and or PLSQL experience preferred).
  • Experience with Create/Modify/Execute SQL Server scheduled jobs/SPs/Functions
  • Ability to create, develop and modify reports based upon operational requirements
  • Proficient at developing and maintaining reporting packages through visualization tools (Power BI or R shiny preferred).
  • Able to write complex join, union, pivot, common table expression query statements for complex data calculations using time window functions in SQL.
  • Familiarity with computerized modeling and how to utilize models in data sets
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex data quality issues or other business problems

Experience:

  • Intermediate-level experience in Data Mining, Data Analysis, Report building and SQL with strong data mining/data visualization capabilities
  • 3-5 years' work experience.
  • BA/BS in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or quantitative field
