Job description

In this role, you will work at the intersection of data analysis, process optimization, and advanced tool development. You will contribute to improving the performance and quality of our Multi-Beam Mask Writer (MBMW) systems by analyzing complex data, developing new methods, and validating innovative features. From early R&D phases to implementation, your work will have a direct impact on product performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Analyze complex data sets and develop optimization algorithms to improve system accuracy and performance
  • Design, execute, and evaluate experiments (Proof of Concept) to validate new features and technologies
  • Develop and apply methods for analyzing log, exposure, and metrology data
  • Create and manage test scenarios, including reproducing and analyzing customer issues
  • Build and apply expertise in exposure processes, jobdeck creation, and related system components
  • Define requirements and support implementation in R&D, including documentation and knowledge transfer to Engineering and Operations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of system performance (e.g., automation, quality, stability, throughput)
  • Ensure structured documentation, validation, and continuous optimization of testing and acceptance processes

Requirements

We are looking for a technically strong and analytically minded individual who enjoys working with complex systems, data-driven challenges, and experimental environments.

You should feel comfortable working in a highly technical setting, where you analyze complex systems, solve data-driven problems, and contribute to experimental development activities.

  • A completed Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of mechatronic and optical systems
  • Interest in data analysis and signal processing, with basic knowledge of Python for data handling and analysis
  • Experience in planning, executing, and evaluating experiments in a R&D environment
  • Project management experience is an advantage
  • Programming skills are an advantage
  • Structured, careful, and detail-oriented working style
  • Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Communication skills and good command of English, German language skills are a plus

With us you will receive an attractive annual gross salary from 62.000 EUR (plus bonus, KV Metallgewerbe). Depending on your experience, this can also be higher.
