Join our global IT Operations team as the first IT Engineer in our Madrid hub. You will be part of our international IT team while being the face of IT for our growing Madrid office, ensuring our team members have the tools and support they need to be productive. Working in a hybrid model, you'll balance remote work with on-site presence to cover local IT needs, while contributing to global IT projects and playing a key role in scaling our operations as we grow., As an IT Operations Engineer, you will own the IT experience for the Madrid office while contributing to the global IT strategy. You will balance hands-on support with infrastructure management and project work. Our IT infrastructure is remote-first and cloud-based, with the physical landscape consisting primarily of Apple devices (MacBooks, iPhones, iPads), displays, and office equipment.
IT Support & Operations:
- Provide on-site support for the Madrid team and overall remote support for the whole Aily team, resolving hardware and software issues
- Manage the lifecycle of IT assets (procurement, onboarding, offboarding, inventory)
- Administer SaaS applications and access management systems (Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom)
- Ensure meeting rooms, Zoom Rooms, and AV equipment are always operational and ready for uses
Infrastructure & Projects:

Manage office network infrastructure (wireless access points and basic networking)

Contribute to global IT projects such as MDM migration, security rollouts, or automation initiatives

Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks

Create and maintain IT documentation and user guides

Proactively identify areas for improvement in our IT processes and propose solutions
Requirements
Experience: 2-4 years in IT Operations, Systems Administration, or Helpdesk roles, OR equivalent demonstrated skills in IT infrastructure management. If you have strong skills but less experience, we encourage you to apply. We value your abilities and service mindset over years in the role.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong systems thinking and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Deep knowledge of macOS and iOS administration in an enterprise environment (we're an all-Apple shop)
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation and efficiency improvements
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions (Jamf, Kandji, or Intune)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi)
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken)
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills
AI-First Mindset: You'll leverage AI tools daily to maximize your efficiency and automate routine tasks.
Ownership: You'll own your domain end-to-end. Your scope of ownership will be smaller or larger depending on your level, but you're expected to own it completely-from design to delivery to maintenance. If you prefer to be told what to do, this isn't the right environment for you.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Identity Provider (IdP) management (Entra ID, Azure AD)
- Advanced scripting and automation experience (beyond basic task automation)
- Experience with wireless network configuration and troubleshooting
- IT certifications like Apple Certified Support Professional, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft certifications.
