Job description
The SAP Functional FI/CO Specialist is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and support of the finance solutions (Mainly SAP and other specialized finance applications) to optimize and integrate the company's financial processes. This role requires a strong blend of functional finance expertise, business affinity and deep technical knowledge of at least SAP (and e.g. applications like OnBase, BasWare, etc.)., * Blueprint & Design: Lead and participate in blueprinting workshops, translating business requirements (e.g. wrt process standardization and optimization) into effective finance (SAP) solutions.
- System Configuration: Perform hands-on configuration of SAP FI/CO modules and interfaces, master data types, attributes, key figures, calculation definitions.
- Module Expertise: Configure and optimize one or more SAP modules, such as:
- FI for General Ledger accounting
- CO for Cost Control and cost/budget reporting
- PCA: profit center accounting
- AA: Asset accounting
Knowledge of SAP ECC as well as S/4 is an advantage.
- Integration and Data Management
- Data Integration: Design and support data integration processes between SAP and other systems (e.g., BW, BasWare, OnBase)
- Master Data: Define and manage the structure and synchronization of master data between the different systems
- Implementation and Support
- Testing: Develop test scenarios (making use of TesterSuite), coordinate, and execute Unit Testing, Functional Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Go-Live & Post-Go-Live Support: Provide critical support during system go-live and troubleshoot and resolve post-implementation functional issues in a timely manner.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, recommending standard SAP functionalities
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Training
- Consultation: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding and advising business stakeholders on SAP best practices and system capabilities.
- Training and Documentation: Develop comprehensive functional specifications, process documentation, user manuals, and deliver end-user training sessions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, Technical Developers, and other SAP functional teams (e.g., SAP MM/PP).
Requirements
- Education: Master degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a functional consultant/specialist with SAP finance modules
- Implementation Experience: Participation in at least 1 full-lifecycle SAP implementation.
- Functional Skills: Deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience with SAP configuration, and integration concepts.
- Soft Skills: Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- working in a manufacturing environment with multiple locations!
- have a good knowledge of the Dutch and English language (German language skills will be an advantage)
- a knack for understanding the heart of a question or problem and placing it in the context of the bigger picture
- mastered at seeing the big picture, and you can really understand both the business and IT sides of things
- Experience at turning ideas into functional designs that you can then use to give advice.
