Job description
As a Network Engineer, you will be part of our operations team. This team is dedicated to ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure by combining network expertise with modern DevOps practices.
Within the team you will contribute to the design, implementation and operation of resilient, high-performing network solutions. Together the team focuses on proactive monitoring and continuous improvement, ensuring that our infrastructure can support the growth and evolving demands of our business.
You will collaborate with the Development department to further automate the network, ensure network security, and enhance our in-house DDoS protection. Additionally, you will be involved in incident management (including participation in on-call and standby duties) and traffic optimization.
Requirements
You enjoy collaborating with the team to improve our network infrastructure. You have strong analytical skills, allowing you to get to the root cause of issues during network incidents and resolve them independently.
- You possess at least a higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working.
- You are well-versed in router technologies and protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, VXLAN, and EVPN.
- You have solid knowledge and experience with Linux systems.
- You have solid knowledge and experience with Arista network equipment.
- Experience with or interest in network automation (e.g. Ansible).
- Professional working proficiency in Dutch and English.
- Familiarity with DWDM networks is a plus.

Our main office is located in Enschede, but our team includes colleagues from all across the Netherlands. That's why we work partly remote - it gives everyone flexibility. At the same time we enjoy working together in person regularly at least twice a week.
