Job description

A well-established organisation within a regulated environment is looking for a Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing technology team.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership - roughly 60% hands-on engineering and 40% leading initiatives, solving problems and driving technical improvements across a hybrid infrastructure estate.

The environment is stable and mature, with a strong focus on resilience, networking and the ongoing transition to Azure and zero trust security.

Package

  • Hybrid working (roughly 60% remote once settled)

  • Exposure to Azure transformation and modern infrastructure projects

  • Strong long-term progression opportunities

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting and improving enterprise network and infrastructure environments

  • Managing LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, routing and Azure networking

  • Providing 3rd line support across Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware and Hyper-V

  • Leading infrastructure upgrades, migrations and cloud integration projects

  • Taking ownership of issues through to resolution, including root cause analysis

  • Supporting disaster recovery, resilience and security initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience in a Network Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer role

  • Strong networking and infrastructure knowledge across on-prem and Azure environments

  • Experience with Windows Server, VMware and/or Hyper-V

  • Exposure to hybrid cloud, routing, VPNs and firewall technologies

  • Interest or experience in zero trust environments / Zscaler is a plus

  • A proactive, technically curious problem-solver who takes ownership and works independently

To apply, please submit a copy of your up-to-date CV clearly indicating your relevant experience. Applicants must have an existing right to work in the UK and evidence of eligibility will be required. Suitable candidates will be contacted
