SaaS Data Specialist / Data Lead

Purpose:

Leadership of the data team who are responsible for providing T-SQL, PowerBI and API solutions to be leveraged within their applications

Providing high quality, robust SaaS Management Information solutions

Liaising with stakeholders to understand, document and implement MI requirements

Responsibilities:

Lead, shape and define the Data Group practice area

Overseeing the architecture, design, development and maintenance of Power BI reports leveraged within applications

Leading from the front, delivering high quality work and developing our team of data specialists

Ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of all solutions delivered by the team

Working with stakeholders to understand requirements & translating into effective reports

Working with the Project team to formulate detailed, time based plans for the delivery of reports, API's and other date related deliverables

Maintaining robust reporting data schema within SQL data that facilitates efficient reporting solutions for our clients and ourselves

Staying updated with the latest technologies to continuously improve our data capabilities

Highly skilled and experienced Data Specialist with experience working in a SaaS Company

Leadership, able to manage a team of dedicated data specialists and help grow their skills

Strong inter-personal skills, able to communicate clearly and confidently to varying levels of individuals internally and externally

Self-starter, takes ownership, leads from the front - able to break down a project into actionable steps and use initiative to move these forward

Have the confidence to work on their own but also to ask for help or direction when required

Strong time management skills with the ability to deliver to a deadline

Diligence and attention to detail to ensure work is delivered to a high standard

Experience of the following is essential:

Power BI - advanced knowledge

SQL - ideally advanced knowledge

Understanding data structures and imparting this knowledge to others

Strong statistical analysis and data mining skills

Leading a team of data / Power BI analysts

Leading on multiple internal and external projects concurrently

Experience of the following would be useful:

Producing MI to be consumed by senior leaders

Knowledge of integration with HR systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle and ESR

Machine learning techniques
