Job description

Agency is expanding its Network Operations Center (NOC) capabilities to support enterprise modernization initiatives across network and identity services. This role is instrumental in advancing SD-WAN, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Identity-Based Networking Services (IBNS), and secure authentication enhancements across the agency. Under the guidance of the NOC Manager, the Network Administrator will deploy, support, troubleshoot, and maintain critical enterprise network and identity infrastructure. The position requires close collaboration with Network, Security, Server Hosting, and non-IT teams, while adhering to Agency change management, documentation, and security standards., * Support enterprise initiatives involving SD-WAN, PKI lifecycle management, and certificate-based authentication

  • Monitor, diagnose, and remediate issues across network and identity services
  • Provide network and secure connectivity support for Windows systems and Apple mobile devices
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain switches, wireless access points, and authentication platforms
  • Perform firmware, software, security, and feature upgrades across infrastructure
  • Execute network deployments, installations, racking equipment, and on-site upgrades (ability to lift 40 lbs. and work on ladders required)
  • Serve as primary escalation resource for network, connectivity, and authentication issues
  • Maintain detailed network diagrams, documentation, and design artifacts
  • Work within the Agency trouble ticket system to resolve issues efficiently
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and rollout of new network and identity solutions
  • Follow State and Agency IT security standards, policies, and documentation practices
  • Provide clear and regular updates to project managers and stakeholders
  • Assist cross-functional IT teams with infrastructure tasks and projects as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise network infrastructure and LAN administration
  • 3+ years installing, configuring, and troubleshooting switches and wireless access points
  • 3+ years of experience with SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services
  • 3+ years troubleshooting network connectivity on Windows and mobile devices
  • 3+ years creating and maintaining network documentation and diagrams, * Industry network certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, CCNP, or similar)
  • Experience in healthcare, government, or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with Identity-Based Networking Services (IBNS)
