Job description

  • Identify, extract, and transform data based on business requirements while following data governance standards.
  • Perform detailed data analysis and profiling to support data cleansing, data creation processes, and data quality initiatives.
  • Analyze performance, quality, and scheduling considerations for database and interface operations.
  • Interpret complex datasets and present findings using advanced reporting and visualization techniques.
  • Identify data patterns, assess potential issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Standardize, harmonize, cleanse, and prepare data for reporting, analysis, and dataset development.
  • Provide technical support for interface specifications and development activities.
  • Lead the design, testing, and validation of system interfaces.
  • Collaborate with state agency IT staff and federal partners to design, test, and implement data exchange interfaces and procedures.
  • Review and correct interface partner files in production environments as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary contact for interface production issues during nightly batch processing and monitor batch jobs for failures or errors.
  • Act as liaison between Child Support teams and interface partners.
  • Perform code reviews, technical reviews, and logical validations.
  • Monitor database growth and recommend normalization strategies and maintenance improvements to support scalability and performance.
  • Design, develop, and manage reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Serve as the primary DBA for Child Support-related applications.
  • Participate in oversight and reporting of vendor development and operational activities.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise metadata, data ownership, and stewardship processes.
  • Support implementation of enterprise data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture awareness and training programs.
  • Monitor compliance and regulatory requirements including data retention and audit standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA.
  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale system architecture.
  • Experience supporting large-scale production system implementations.
  • Experience overseeing software development vendors.
  • Strong experience with MS SQL Server 2022 Enterprise.
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2022.
  • Proficiency in C#,

, and/or .NET technologies. * Experience with PowerShell scripting.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Child Support Enforcement system design and development.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Knowledge of data governance and enterprise architecture principles.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
