Job description
Candidate will be a member of the USAF CLS-CRC software integration team, using Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10/11. Candidate will function as a cybersecurity expert to produce software builds for CRC Charleston Software Integration Lab (SIL). Daily responsibilities will include: Creating easily installable security update packages for Windows operating systems
- Creating updated software baselines
- Developing innovative scripting and automation solutions for software deployments
- Installing and configuring COTS/GOTS products, and performing routine cybersecurity analysis to maintain a hardened security posture
- Updating VMWare technologies such as VCenter, ESXI and Veeam
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of supporting documentation including, System Version Documents (SVD), System Administration Manuals (SAM), Software Build Plans and Load Plan/Installation Procedures (IP)
- Supporting customer test events, and field level installation at the request of the contract customer
Requirements
- Five years of experience in software integration and administration to include: systems analysis, systems architecture, systems/equipment support, test and evaluation, and cybersecurity
- Three plus years of technical experience supporting VMware Infrastructure Servers and appliances
- Possess hands-on technical experience configuring, securing, and troubleshooting operating system services and applications
- Prior experience creating and deploying system images, configurations, and updates
- Possess strong scripting language knowledge
- Direct experience with:
- Windows Server version 2016/2019/2022 systems administration/ configuration/ installation
- Windows version 10/11 systems administration/ configuration/ installation
- VMwaree vSphere and/or Horizon administration/ configuration/ installation
- Windows Pre-Installation Environment (WINPE)
- PowerShelll, bash or other scripting experience
- PKII configuration and troubleshooting experience
- NASS/Network Storage configuration and troubleshooting experience
- Understanding of IAVA, STIGs, ACAS and SCAP and applying system security configurations
- Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Both written and verbal communications skills are required
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
Desired Skills
- VMware Horizon installation and configuration experience
- Three years of technical experience in support of C4ISR and information management systems and applications
- Experience using Red Hat Enterprise Linux(RHEL) system
- Experience with PowerShell to automate functions
- Experience with Bash to automate functions
- Hands-on software development experience
- Experience using Ansible to deploy systems
- Experience with cloud migration or cloud installations
- Possess relevant technical certifications from Microsoft, RedHat VMware, CISCO, etc
