- Take ownership of network, systems, and Microsoft ecosystem architecture
- Lead and support a small team of engineers (mentor, guide, and elevate performance)
- Drive execution across multiple active projects in partnership with external vendors
- Step into complex technical issues and resolve them without heavy direction
- Help implement structure, documentation, and best practices where they don't exist today
- Ensure projects stay on track and reduce escalation dependency on leadership
Key Areas of Focus
Infrastructure & Networking (Top Priority)

- Hands-on support for upgrades, configurations, and deployments
- Ability to operate independently without step-by-step documentation
Microsoft Environment

- SCCM / Endpoint Configuration Manager
Security (Practical / Infrastructure-Aligned)

- Partner with vendors on broader security initiatives
- Support identity and access strategy (nice to have)
Additional Exposure (Nice to Have)
- Cisco environments (networking / collaboration / voice systems)
- Healthcare IT experience
What Success Looks Like
First 30 Days
- Embedded into ongoing projects
- Builds trust with CTO and team
- Begins taking ownership of key technical areas
60-90 Days
- Projects progressing smoothly with minimal bottlenecks
- Team operating more independently
- CTO no longer the primary escalation point for technical issues
Requirements
- Strong background in infrastructure + networking
- Experience across Microsoft enterprise environments
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles in practice
- Proven ability to operate as a hands-on technical leader
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving environments
- Ability to teach, mentor, and elevate less experienced engineers
- Self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems without waiting for direction
Ideal Candidate Profile
- "Gets in the weeds" and enjoys hands-on problem solving
- Has acted as a technical lead or architect without being fully removed from execution
- Thrives in environments that need structure and technical direction
- Comfortable being one of the most senior technical resources on a team
