Job description

Identify the functions or tasks that employees in the job perform. The essential functions should state the purpose of the work and the results to be accomplished, rather than how the function is performed. Of the tasks listed, what percentage of time is devoted to each? The more time employees spend on a function, the more likely it is that the function is essential. Generally, include those functions that account for 10% or more of the work, i.e., key items that contribute significantly to the achievement of the job. The functions should add up to 100%.

, (To be completed by Supervisor) 25 Yes Develop improved algorithms, with emphasis on using time-series or signal processing methods, for interpretation of continuous bedside monitoring data, i.e. arrhythmia detection. May work with domain scientists where applicable to perform these responsibilities and uses domain science knowledge where relevant. 25 Yes Implement pipelines for quality control and processing of datasets and create summary statistics for report generation 15 Yes Identify datasets and cohorts relevant for algorithm development and evaluation and generate performance statistics 15 Yes Create presentations describing algorithms and findings for diverse audiences including clinicians, engineers, technicians, etc. 10 Yes Collaborate with CBR staff, clinicians, and hospital IT to facilitate clinical implementation of developed algorithms 5 Yes Contribute to user interface design for communicating algorithm results and databasing strategies for efficient storage of CBR data 5 Yes Stays current with literature involving analyses of continuous bedside monitoring data and signal processing techniques
