Job description

  • Design, build, and ship high-quality mobile features for millions of customers worldwide
  • Define and track key performance metrics, establish quality bars, and lead initiatives to raise the bar for app health
  • Collaborate with 25+ teams across Mexico, India, and the United States to align on platform standards, resolve cross-team dependencies, and deliver cohesive mobile experiences at scale
  • Lead system design, architecture decisions, and operational root cause analysis for complex, multi-team mobile systems
  • Resolve ambiguity, experiment with new ideas, and drive innovation across the mobile platform

The App Foundry team owns iOS, Android, and FireTablet platforms along with playback, downloads, metrics, auth, security, and more.

Requirements

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead, or experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team, Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Experience with Android, iOS or other mobile application development or testing

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
