Job description

As our next Server Administrator, you will be a key member of the Corporate IT team, responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing Johnson Electric's enterprise server infrastructure across the Americas. What You'll Be Doing Maintaining enterprise server infrastructure including Windows Servers, SQL, DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory. Configuring and optimizing server performance for manufacturing applications. Designing and supporting SQL clustering and high-availability environments. Administering Hyper-V environments, including patching, backups, and lifecycle management. Managing backup and recovery using Veeam. Ensuring proper server permissions and access controls. Supporting disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing. Collaborating with Global IT teams on infrastructure standards and best practices. Participating in internal and external system audits. Coordinating with external vendors for software licenses and support services. Providing 24x7 global infrastructure support as part of the IT team. Ensuring compliance with TISAX, CMMC, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001. Traveling locally and internationally as required.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2017 / 2019 / 2022); familiarity with Server 2025 preferred. At least 1 year of experience with physical-to-cloud migrations (AWS, Azure). 2+ years of experience with server connectivity via Cisco switches, routers, WLAN, and firewalls. Cisco certification or working toward certification. Strong experience with Active Directory and Exchange in multi-site environments. Hands-on experience with Hyper-V, Veeam, SCCM, and Zabbix. Experience supporting a 24x7 operational environment. IBM AS400 administration experience is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Fluent in English; Spanish or Chinese is a plus.
