Systems and Network Engineer

Ubeo is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems and Network Engineer. This is a vital position responsible for maintaining the security, reliability and growth of our IT infrastructure. This high-level role is actively involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT policies, procedures, and standards while providing technical leadership across the organization., o Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network and systems infrastructure o Oversee system and network security by following STIG and CIS best practices o Develop, enforce, and maintain IP policies, procedures, and standards o Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across the organization o Support and understand Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, SharePoint, Office365, NPS, and Active Directory o Support and understand Azure infrastructure, including virtual networks, virtual machines, databases and identity solutions o Integrate Azure services with M365, on-prem servers, and enterprise applications o Configure, maintain, and monitor network firewalls, VPNs, and network security appliances to ensure secure connectivity across sites and cloud environments o Perform vulnerability detection, remediation, and systems patching o Serve as an escalation point for technical issues o Manage time effectively while maintaining accurate ticket documentation o Communicate clearly with end users to keep them informed of ticket status and resolution

o Track record of integrity and trustworthiness with confidential/sensitive information. o Ability to plan, organize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. o Very strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential. o Takes ownership of job responsibilities with personal pride and accountability. o Ability to work independently with little supervision required. o Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment. o Ability to work within the timeframe of standard policies and procedures and not miss deadlines/due dates. o Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Strong professionalism and organizational and planning skills. o Regular and reliable attendance., o High School Diploma or GED o 5 Years minimum in the IT field or work-related experience o A valid driver's license and good driving record o Extensive experience in network and systems engineering, including network firewalls, routing, switching, and VPNs o Strong expertise in Azure services o Deep understanding of network and cloud security best practices o Excellent customer service skills o Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills o Must be a self-starter o Must be capable of working independently o Ability to handle high stressful situations and thrive under pressure o Impeccable Integrity and Honesty o Ability to take constructive feedback from Management, or Peers o Willingness to learn new processes/practices, apply them and train others Preferred Experience and Certification: o FortiNet experience (FortiGate, FortiEMS, FortiManager, FortiClient, FortiSandbox) o Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-105, AZ-305) o Net + o Security + o VMware Certified Professional o CCNA o Windows Server Administrator (legacy MCSE or current role-based certs), o Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time o Ability to talk on the phone and work with various computer tools and applications o Ability to type and compose written communication in various forms o Ability to lift 20+lbs on occasion
