Senior Cloud Data Engineer

SIX is recruitingadataplatformengineertowork on thecompanywide data platform. In this role, youwill bepart of a cross-functional team responsible forbothdesigningandimplementinga reliableplatformforanalytics and data science,as well asconsultinginternal customerswhousetheplatformacross the organization.

What You Will Do

• Bepart ofan internationalteamthatdesignsandmaintainsa maturecloud nativedatascienceplatform,currently serving more than 14internalanalytics teamsand600+ users.

• Closelycollaborate withkey stakeholdersfrom business data science teams and IT dataengineering teamsto enablethem on the platform.Identifynew requirements,analyzeplatformsuitability, propose best practices and existing solutions through demos...

• Act as ahands-ondataengineer to onboard new use cases andoptimizeexisting ones,buildproduction readyETL pipelines,ML/AIusecasesand reporting solutions.

• Implement newinfrastructurecomponentswithInfrastructure as code (IaC), as well as creating templatesto ensure best practicesand standardization amonganalytics teams.

• 6+years of practical experience buildingproductiondatapipelines,datamodelingandBI toolsin the cloud.

• ExperiencewithLakehousearchitecture, preferablyDatabricks, with a strong knowledge ofSpark andOpenTable formats (Delta and/orIceberg).

• Proficiencywith Python(PySpark)andSQLwith a solid understandingofsoftware development and automation conceptslike CI/CDto buildproductiondataand MLpipelines(DataOps/MLOps).

• Basic knowledge of cloud foundation services (IAM,networking, storage…),cloud costs management (FinOps) as well as tools tomanage cloud infrastructure withIaC(Terraform/OpenTofu,Pulumi,bash scripting…)on Microsoft Azure (our primary cloud service provider) and/or Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform.
