Job description
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Junior SQL Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL Server, .NET, and know financial principles.
You will be part of the team developing and maintaining a Business Intelligence Enterprise Datawarehouse and the associated reporting application, delivered for decision-makers, using mainly data from our Financial Information Systems.
We want you to understand the data model we have, analyse and communicate findings, as well as build queries and processes for automating reports or data loading.

Role overview
Creating queries, functions, and stored procedures; establishing and monitoring ETL processes; troubleshooting and resolving production issues; optimising database performance; creating, executing, and resolving data quality validation processes; interacting and linking various data file formats (e.g. flatfile,.csv, Excel) and producing reports aligned with the business needs.
Collaboration skills are essential to this role., Data Mapping: using standard governance, create datapoint linkages between externally sourced data and the BI Enterprise Datawarehouse
- Database Maintenance: design, develop, test, optimise and maintain all database objects such as tables, views, and stored procedures
- Data migration: use your financial skills to migrate financial data for Mergers & Acquisitions.
- Participate in the migration of SQL databases to the Cloud
- Coding & implementation of new features: using standard SQL language, .NET, HTML/CSS, and C#, write code for ETL processes, data promotion across servers, create views and reports, and execute quality and validation checks, as well as other needs.
- Assist with platform maintenance and issue resolution and job monitoring: Help with ticket resolutions, monitor production runs to ensure expected performance, address break-fix issues, and implement needed changes to optimise performance. Troubleshoot, test, and debug core products to ensure optimisation and stability.
- Data Validation: create data quality and validation checks, generate and document exceptions, and implement corrective modifications
- Data Archiving: execute standardized archival processes to maintain optimal database operations
- Ad-hoc SQL queries to extract data from Financial Information Systems
In addition you will have permanent activities:
- Participate as an active member of the scrum team, providing input to team velocity and sprint events.
- Collaborate with the testing team based in India to ensure the accuracy and reliability of developments
- Contribute to database tuning and query optimization efforts
- Participate in customer design conference calls and meetings
- Other duties as assigned by team leadership
