Job description

Design PCB schematics and layouts for space-borne cameras and computers

  • Coordinate with suppliers to manufacture PCBs and ensure the mission requirements are met
  • Perform quality assurance checks of high-end devices
  • Assemble electronic components/modules onto the subsystem/system
  • Space qualification of electronics including radiation analysis and tests
  • Document design work, test results, and other relevant information
  • Support the embedded software team with hardware related issues
  • Lab work such as PCB repairs, cable assemblies, testing and installation of components.

Requirements

RequirementsPursuing a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related fieldStrong knowledge of electrical engineering theory and principles such as circuit analysis and digital electronicsExperience with schematics and PCB layout design software such as EAGLE or AltiumFamiliarity with electronic component manufacturing processes such as surface mount technology (SMT)Knowledge of ESD best practices and protections.Experience using lab equipment: multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron, microscope...Programming skills.
