Job description

We're seeking an Enterprise Architect to lead the development and governance of our enterprise architecture strategy. In this role, you will align technology with business goals, provide technical leadership across multiple domains, and drive digital transformation initiatives that simplify complexity and enhance agility.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an enterprise architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Define and enforce architecture standards and frameworks across business, data, application and infrastructure domains.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and IT leadership.
  • Assess current-state architectures and design scalable, secure future-state blueprints and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technical solutions.
  • Support cloud migration, legacy system modernisation, and digital transformation programs.
  • Lead architectural governance through review boards and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
  • Work with third parties and internal teams to ensure solutions fit within Lincolnshire Co-op's IT ecosystem.
  • Mentor IT teams to build architecture skills and embed best practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microservices?, You have proven expertise in enterprise architecture, combined with excellent communication and leadership skills. You're comfortable working with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders, bridging the gap between strategy and delivery., * Experience designing architectures across business, data, application, and infrastructure domains.

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and modern technologies including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, microservices, and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with legacy system modernisation, data management, and security frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • A track record of leading architectural governance and supporting enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and communicate complex concepts clearly to varied audiences.
  • Ability to assess current environments, identify gaps, and develop practical, scalable solutions.
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
