Job description

Working as part of a small close-knit team specializing in web-based financial software, you will help design, develop, maintain and optimize bespoke programs. Initially you will be working on our core product using our proprietary language, for which training will be provided. In order to hit the ground running, you must already have a solid understanding, and recent experience, in at least one programming language.

You will be joining a close knit and collaborative software development team and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the complete development life cycle (analysis, design, programming, testing, installation, review).

This role will also involve working independently on tasks such as:

  • Resolving queries raised relating to change requests, bug fixes and web/application support
  • Implementing new and improved functionality - coding/programming
  • Writing accurate technical documentation including unit tests & release notes.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, The successful candidate will be a software developer, ideally with experience of Python, C-derived languages and who possess a diverse and adaptable skill set. Graduates at their first experience welcome., * Proven programming ability

  • Strong mathematical skills
  • A good understanding of full software development life cycle
  • Logical thinking, problem solving & accuracy

Exposure to the following is highly desirable:

  • Linux, C, Python, JavaScript
  • Programming of financial software
  • Accounting/investment banking sector knowledge

Benefits & conditions

Full-time position. Working hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday

Pay range: £25,000-£30,000 depending on experience. We welcome graduates with relevant degrees at their first experience, as full training will be provided. Must be able to provide evidence of a relevant degree.
