Job description
We are seeking a versatile, proactive WordPress Developer to join our team in a studio-based role in Saffron Walden, Essex. This is a brilliant opportunity for a technical all-rounder who enjoys the buzz of a collaborative studio environment rather than working from home.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of client websites, from initial server setup and DNS management to front-end design and post-launch SEO. You aren't just a coder; you are a digital problem-solver who can manage projects and guide clients through their digital journey., * WordPress Development: Building and maintaining high-quality websites using Divi and Elementor.
- Infrastructure Management: Managing Plesk servers, executing domain migrations, and handling DNS changes with precision.
- Security and Management: Updating, checking and managing client websites based on agreements and contracts. Includes keeping up to date with international web standards and protocols (such as GDPR).
- Digital Marketing: Implementing on-page SEO, monitoring Google Analytics, and configuring basic Google Ads setups.
- Project and Client Management: Acting as the technical point of contact for clients, managing expectations, and ensuring projects stay on schedule.
- Collaboration: Working alongside the wider team to brainstorm creative solutions and improve internal workflows.
Requirements
Do you have experience in WordPress?, * Experience: Prior experience working within an agency is preferred but not essential
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with WordPress CMS Platform, Divi and Elementor or similar.
- Server Knowledge: Practical experience with Plesk and domain/DNS management.
- Right to Work: You must have the full right to work in the UK. Please note: We do not offer visa sponsorship.
- Mobility: This position in onsite so any applicants must be able to commute to the studio.
- Client Meetings: While we are office-based, you may occasionally attend external client meetings. A company car is available when required.
- Character: A reliable team player with a "can-do" attitude and a sharp eye for detail.
- Website Optimisation: Understanding and implementation for speed and performance.
- Adobe Creative Cloud: Experience using the base programmes is a bonus but not essential, but not essential training can be provided.
- Microsoft 365 Packages: Essential experience using Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
