Job description

  • Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers to ensure successful delivery
  • Monitor project progress and manage risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Provide clear progress reports and stakeholder updates
  • Support change management and implementation activities
  • Ensure compliance with council policies, standards, and procedures

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated IT Project Manager with strong experience delivering technical projects from initiation through to completion. The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate internal teams and external suppliers to ensure successful delivery of IT and digital initiatives., Must Have:

  • Proven experience in IT project management
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Experience delivering projects within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile or Waterfall)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (must be confirmed)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working within local government or public sector environments
  • Relevant project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile certification)
  • Experience with IT systems implementation or digital transformation projects
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and risk management processes, * IT project management: 1 year (required)
  • Local Authority: 1 year (required)
  • IT systems implementation or digital transformation projects: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, PMP (required)
