Insight Global is seeking a Platform Engineer to support a high-impact enterprise AI enablement initiative. This individual will join a fast-moving team responsible for building and maintaining internal tools, backend services, and deployment pipelines that support the rollout of Gemini Enterprise as a SaaS-like offering. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can take initiative, wear multiple hats, and thrive in an environment where processes are still being solidified. This role blends backend engineering, infrastructure, tooling, and user support, making it perfect for someone with an SRE mindset who enjoys building practical solutions that teams rely on every day.
Day to Day
· Build, enhance, and support custom backend applications used internally
· Support tools enabling the rollout and administration of Gemini Enterprise
· Write and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including creating pipelines from scratch
· Migrate applications and infrastructure into new GCP environments
· Respond to internal users and support requests, especially in the mornings
· Iterate on application features, fix bugs, and improve stability in the afternoons
· Collaborate with a newly formed PM organization and gradually adopt Jira processes
Balance meetings with hands-on development work
Requirements
- Strong Python development experience (true development work not just writing scripts)
o Experience building and supporting backend applications
· CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and/or Spinnaker
· Hands-on GCP experience (GKE, BigQuery, etc.)
· Exposure to AI frameworks/services such as ADK or MCP, or demonstrated curiosity and ability to ramp quickly
· Strong customer service presence and willingness to help with support tickets
Someone who can take the initiative, doesn't wait for constant direction, and is comfortable with ambiguity - Golang development experience

$55/hr to $65/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
