Job description
- Design, develop, and operate Knowledge Graph systems for serving, ingesting data, and executing graph queries at massive scale for critical ML applications (e.g., recommendations, fraud detection, safety, and social proof).
- Own and significantly improve our Vector Database infrastructure, scaling it to support 100B+ vector searches and ensuring high-performance, low-latency lookups.
- Build robust, highly available APIs and services to seamlessly integrate Knowledge Graphs and Vector DBs into new agentic and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications.
- Research, evaluate, and pioneer the adoption of the latest advancements in VectorDB technology, Knowledge Graphs, and Ground Truth Data labeling practices to define new industry standards.Develop comprehensive evaluation frameworks to measure agentic performance, safety, and reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and production-grade ML infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in AI platform features, with a specific focus on ML Data Infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of the architectural challenges and solutions for highly performant Vector Databases (e.g., indexing, partitioning) and Knowledge Graphs (e.g., query languages, serving architectures).
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- A strong builderâs mindset, driven by a passion for pioneering AI platform innovation and delivering technology that connects people globally.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page. Annual Salary Range $227,370â$295,250 USD
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
