Job description

We are seeking a Mainframe / CICS Developer to support enterprise federal systems. This position will work on high-volume transactional applications involving COBOL, CICS, DB2, MQ, JCL, and batch processing.

The ideal candidate understands both development and production support in a mainframe environment and can troubleshoot application, transaction, and system issues.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2.

Support CICS transactions, regions, and application performance.

Troubleshoot transaction errors, batch failures, and production incidents.

Support integrations between mainframe applications and other enterprise systems.

Analyze system requirements, code, and documentation.

Participate in testing, deployment, and system modernization activities.

Work with technical teams, business users, and program stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CICS administration or CICS region support.

Experience with federal mainframe environments.

Experience supporting modernization or integration efforts.
