Job description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician position is in charge of incoming first article inspection, unit inspection, shipping, and dispositioning non-confirming product. The QA Technician will also assists the QA Manager in preparing plans, procedures, and inspection criteria. The ideal candidate will also support the QA Manager in implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System., (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Helps develop, organizes and maintains information regarding First Article Inspections from outside vendors.

  • Performs formal and informal audits of all material, processes, products, and systems as needed or required.

  • Helps maintain Non-Conformance systems of QMS.

  • Performs final inspection and evaluation of product/units for shipment to our Customers.

  • Other assignments as assigned by the QA Manager.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • CIT: establish standards and procedures for continuous improvement throughout factory and QA sphere of influence.

  • ISO Standards Implementation: helps as active team member to secure and maintain a Quality Management System to the standards.

  • Maintain currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed., The Company is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its information assets in alignment with ISO 27001. Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • 5 years experience in active inspection, preferably final product inspection. MRB and non-conformance to include Root Cause/Corrective Action, and auditing.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Engineering or technical related experience desired.

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Familiar with basic measuring equipment including testing and record maintenance.

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and MRP navigation.

  • Ability to work in a team or solo environment., * Associate's degree preferred with one year of experience, or 5+ years experience in inspection and QA related capacities.
