Senior Network Engineer/Developer

The Senior Network Engineer/Developer is expected to be able to accomplish the following:

• Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Conduct cost - benefit analyses and support hardware/software selection decisions.
• Perform testing and validation of network designs.
• Monitor network hardware to verify proper configuration and performance.
• Plan and execute network enhancements and upgrades.
• Advise users on hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.
• Maintain deep technical expertise across routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and related infrastructure.
• Evaluate emerging communications technologies for future deployment., We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer/ Developer to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligenc e Agency's Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Senior Network Engineer/Developer will design, plan, develop, test, secure, and optimize enterprise - level network solutions in support of mission-critical operations. This position plays a key part in the architecture, evaluation, deployment, and modernization of network communications systems across the agency.

• Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
• BS, 12-15 years of relevant experience; MS, 10-13 years; PhD, 10+ years
• One or more of the following DoD 8570/CS-NET-441 c ertifications :

• CASP+
• CISSP
• GCED

• One or more of the following network certifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise/Security)
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
• Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP), * AWS Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional (if cloud networking is in scope)

• Microsoft or VMware networking-related certifications
• Azure Network Engineer Associate
• Palo Alto PCNSE
• Check Point CCSA/CCSE
• Cisco DevNet Professional
• Python automation certifications
• Ansible Network Automation certification, While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
