Data Systems Engineer

The Data Systems Engineer will play a key role in designing, transforming, and supporting cloud based data pipelines and platforms while working closely with leadership and analytics teams. This role aligns with modern data engineering practices and emphasizes strong SQL and Python skills, cloud based data transformation, and scalable data ingestion and modeling. The Data Systems Engineer will design and maintain cloud based data pipelines, build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows, and use SQL and Python to transform, validate, and model data for analytics and downstream consumption. Responsibilities include supporting dbt based transformations, integrating data from multiple sources including APIs, collaborating with platform and analytics teams to improve data architecture and performance, ensuring data quality and governance best practices, and contributing to enterprise analytics and AI enablement initiatives by improving data reliability, accessibility, and overall architecture. Salary $110,000-120,000.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Strong SQL and Python experience

Hands on experience with ETL/ELT processes

Experience working in cloud based data environments

Ability to work independently while supporting cross functional technical teams dbt experience

Snowflake experience preferred

Familiarity with data modeling and ingestion frameworks

Experience with APIs and integrating multiple data sources

Exposure to Epic data environments

Experience with AI tools, Copilot, or automation within data pipelines

Relevant certifications (cloud, data, or analytics focused)
