Support integration and testing activities for complex FAA and aviation-related systems Analyze system and functional requirements and translate them into detailed test plans and test cases Develop and execute system integration, validation, regression, and end-to-end testing procedures Create and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts Collaborate closely with systems engineers, developers, architects, and program stakeholders to ensure successful system integration Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track system defects and integration issues Support interface validation, interoperability testing, and performance testing efforts Participate in requirements reviews, test readiness reviews, and defect resolution activities Ensure testing activities comply with FAA and mission-critical system standards and processes
Requirements
FAA industry experience REQUIRED / Combination of Hardware & software experience / DC/Northern VA Preferred work location & REMOTE!, We are seeking a highly skilled System Integration & Test Engineer to support a large-scale FAA Air Traffic Control modernization initiative focused on next-generation aviation and mission-critical systems.
This role will be responsible for system integration, requirements validation, test strategy development, test automation, and end-to-end verification activities across highly complex aviation environments. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting FAA testing programs and working within highly regulated, safety-critical systems environments., 5+ years of experience in System Integration & Test Engineering MUST have prior experience supporting FAA testing projects or FAA-regulated systems Experience creating test cases, test procedures, and automated testing solutions Strong understanding of system integration methodologies and software/hardware validation processes Experience with test automation tools and frameworks Experience supporting mission-critical or highly available systems environments Experience working with VoIP technologies and communication systems Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills MUST be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Experience Experience supporting FAA Air Traffic Control modernization initiatives Experience with aviation systems, avionics, or air traffic management systems Prior experience supporting DoD, aerospace, or defense-related programs Familiarity with safety-critical system testing environments Experience with system interoperability and network/infrastructure testing Exposure to real-time communication systems and voice technologies Preferred Technical Background Test automation frameworks and scripting Systems integration and interface testing VoIP and communication systems Network and infrastructure testing Requirements traceability and validation Defect tracking and test reporting tools
