Job description

The Dev Ops Engineer will work with other Software Engineers, Database Engineers, and Product Managers to analyze system and network loads to address stability and performance challenges and collaborate with others to operate various systems. The Dev Ops Engineer performs ongoing application support by diagnosing and resolving issues, maintaining applications, and evaluating and recommending options for improving performance, maintainability, and operability., * Solve problems relating to mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence

  • Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Nexon's services.
  • Identify bad trends before they become problems; respond to automated system alerts, effectively troubleshoot system errors, and work incidents to return systems to normal operating conditions
  • Conduct periodic maintenance and on call duties for emergency.
  • Author and update high-quality documentation of all relevant specifications, systems, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 3-5 years of system/network/software engineering experience

  • Troubleshooting experience on entire layers from network to software
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience using monitoring systems (Zabbix, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with automation by using AI(n8n, agentic AI)
  • Experience with web frontend or backend programming is a plus.
  • Experience with automation and continuous integration tools (Rundeck, Jenkins, Git) is a plus.
  • Experience with container orchestration system (Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Experience in using an Infrastructure as Code tool (Terraform) is a plus.
  • Experience with DB and Data platform solutions (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Splunk, Snowflake) is a plus.
  • Game industry experience is a plus.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, IS, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with using script language (Python, PowerShell, shell)
  • Understanding Windows and Unix/Linux systems taking in system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols along the way.
  • Strong grasp of internet network concepts, protocols, and associated service (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP/SFTP, DNS, SSH, NFS, ICMP).
  • Understanding of load balancing clusters, server load balancing, firewalls, routing and VLANs.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (annually)

The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $123,000 - $145,000 annually.

Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual's pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
