Our department consists of agile teams where individual contributions are recognized, and career advancement is nurtured., As a Software Engineer II, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering modern applications that support Safety National's ongoing digital transformation. You will work hands-on with technologies like .NET Core, React, and Microsoft Azure to build scalable, cloud-native solutions while helping modernize legacy systems into more efficient, service-oriented architectures.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers, product owners, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements. You'll contribute across the full stack-developing intuitive front-end experiences, building robust APIs, and ensuring seamless integration with cloud services. Your work will involve writing clean, testable code, participating in code reviews, and applying CI/CD practices to streamline deployment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred., * 2 or more years of professional software development experience

  • Hands-on experience with .NET Core (C#) and React
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, or Cosmos DB)
  • Understanding of relational databases and exposure to NoSQL technologies
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub or Azure DevOps
  • Understanding of RESTful API design principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview., * Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools
  • Interest in continuing to grow technical skills under the guidance of senior engineers

Safety National is committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-based compensation. In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target base salary range for this position is $78,000 to $100,500. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
