Job description
- Collaborate with business partners, product owners, and architecture to define requirements and document solution designs.
- Lead and perform hands-on ETL design and development in a data warehouse environment.
- Participate in information architecture discussions to determine design solutions and propose new technology adoption.
- Work across multiple concurrent projects and own end-to-end delivery from design through deployment.
- Partner with near-shore and off-shore teams in a matrixed model and coordinate with L2, development, testing, and upstream/downstream partners.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate requirements into high-level and detailed designs, addressing production issues where needed.
- Identify technology gaps and propose viable, scalable solutions; take accountability for technical deliverables from offshore.
- Support development and QA during post-development phases and drive improvements within applications for performance and quality.
- Ensure adherence to governing principles, processes, quality standards, and best practices.
- Design, develop, and deliver solutions with Product Owners and the team leveraging ETL processes, Starburst, and MicroStrategy (MSTR).
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle Exadata, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and data warehousing and a proven ability to design and deliver scalable ETL solutions in a hybrid environment., + 15+ years of experience as a developer with a focus on data warehousing.

Expert knowledge of Oracle Exadata.

Expert-level Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.

Strong understanding of ETL processing concepts and performance tuning for large data volumes.

Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional data modeling concepts.

Ability to design systems with minimal direction and partner effectively with technology and business stakeholders.

Strong leadership, communication, writing, and relationship skills across varied levels of influence.

Excellent analytical and logical problem-solving skills; self-starter with thought leadership.

Knowledge of the project life cycle and ability to multitask and work independently. Preferred Skills:

UNIX shell scripting and AutoSys scheduling.

Java or Python for data-related development.

Experience with Starburst and MicroStrategy (MSTR).

Payments domain knowledge across US and international contexts.
