The Senior Email Development Manager for Tennis Channel will play a key role in nurturing subscriptions and driving engagement through personalized, data-driven email and CRM campaigns. This role focuses on the execution of B2C/D2C communication but will have a direct influence on strategy and optimization of customer journeys in support of our wider business goals - connecting tennis fans with live and on-demand tennis - as well as maximizing viewership and loyalty. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Braze or a similar Email platform (eg, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sailthru, Hubspot, etc)
This role is onsite and located at our Santa Monica office.
In this role, you will:
- Build, test, and deploy one-off email campaigns, journeys, and newsletters. HTML/CSS experience a plus but not required!
- Verify emails are on-brand, visually engaging, mobile-optimized, and technically sound across devices and inboxes.
- Support the CRM Director in refining personalization strategies, audience segmentation, and targeting to increase engagement and conversion.
- Collaborate with the Editorial team to develop templates for new and pop-up newsletters. Craft weekly newsletter based on copy and imagery provided by Editorial. On a weekly basis, translate Editorial copy into compelling subject lines,
- Work closely with Growth Marketing to create thoughtful, timely cross-channel messaging.
- Build automated customer journeys (welcome, winback, churn mitigation, etc) to drive engagement throughout the subscriber lifecycle.
- Leverage insights from customer behavior and campaign data to refine audience segmentation, email frequency, and content strategy.
- Contribute to the evolution of a unified CRM strategy that both deepens and expands a subscriber's relationship with tennis.
- Collaborate with Creative team to request imagery and ensure emails continue to meet brand guidelines. Establish best practices for ticketing requests & requirements.
- Maintain accuracy of email calendar within Airtable.
- Monitor A/B tests and report findings; recommend data-driven optimizations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of CRM or email marketing experience, preferably in a subscription-based industry
- Proficiency with a leading ESP (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Hubspot, Sailthru, etc) required
- Strong preference for candidates with Braze experience
- Strong understanding of email automation, segmentation, and dynamic content best practices
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret campaign metrics and translate insights into action
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Curious, data-driven, and motivated to create meaningful customer experiences
Benefits & conditions
The base salary compensation range for this role is $105,000 to $120,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
