Job description
Contractor provides administration and management assistance for AFSOC's networks. Duties include, but are not limited to, configuration management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of NIPR/SIPR/TS client workstations. Essential Job Function
- Technical Support: Provide assistance to users experiencing hardware or software issues, either in person or remotely. This includes troubleshooting problems and delivering solutions to common software and hardware issues.
- System Setup and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, including hardware components like routers, printers, and servers.
- Help Desk Management: Manage A2 help desk tickets, respond to requests in a timely manner, and log both problems and resolutions to maintain accurate records.
- Documentation and Knowledge Base: Create and maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures and solutions. Develop a knowledge base to assist other technicians and users.
- User Training: Educate users on how to use software applications and hardware effectively, providing training sessions as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other Information Technology (IT) staff and departments to ensure all technical needs are met and to escalate issues when necessary.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT field.
- Top Secret Clearance
- Have and maintain currency of the appropriate level certification in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570.01-M (or current DoD/DFARS guidance governing IA workforce qualifications).
- 5 years of recent IT experience. At minimum, 5 years of experience performing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software required for MS and LINUX operations systems
- At least 2 years of experience, within the past 3 years, with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, VMWare, and Linux server software, with knowledge of network storage.
- 5 years of experience administering and deploying geospatial applications and intelligence-related automation to support analytical efforts and product development is desired.
- 5 years of experience administering and deploying enterprise-level open source and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) server equipment in support of intelligence organizations.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills to assist non-technical users effectively.
- Familiarity with computer systems, networks, and various software applications.
