Tasks

  • Implement regulatory standards in software solutions for finance., The Asset Management division of Zürcher Kantonalbank is the second largest provider in Switzerland with over CHF 341 billion assets under management (as of 28.02.2026) and around 280+ investment experts. We offer all services of institutional asset management for financial service providers, companies, foundations, and pension institutions. Our expertise in sustainability and pensions is internationally recognised. As a member of a 25-person team, you are responsible for the technical implementation of our proprietary portfolio management platform. Together with your colleagues, you take responsibility for the development and operational maintenance of the Core Platform Services, ensuring efficient and stable operation. You also provide support for incident management and implement change requests in compliance with processes. Your tasks

  • Development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions with Python in the context of asset management.

  • Effective use of Git for version control and collaborative development.

  • Collaboration with a team of developers to improve system efficiency and functionality.

  • Understanding and implementing regulatory requirements and financial industry standards in software solutions.

  • Contributing to the design and implementation of the portfolio management platform in asset management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or similar fields.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and DevOps technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail., * University degree in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics or similar
  • Experience in software development in financial services, risk and compliance is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Python, Plotly Dash, C# and a good understanding of relational databases and queries (SQL)
  • Proficiency in DevOps and operational technologies - Python, JSON, XML, GIT, AzureDevOps
  • Adequate Linux knowledge, skills in shell scripting
  • Knowledge of financial products and non-financial risks in asset management is a plus
  • Self-organisation, curious mindset and a good eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills
